Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years PM/PO or hybrid in Banking/Fintech/Insurtech.
  • Deep Insurance business knowledge required.
  • Experience in fast-growing, data-driven, agile environments.
  • Direct collaboration with Tech teams is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Define and defend the product roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Write PRDs and functional definitions.
  • Manage stakeholders across Business, Design and Engineering.
  • Balance business value, feasibility and delivery timelines.
  • Lead data-informed decision making with dashboards and reviews.
  • Collaborate daily with Engineering in Agile ceremonies.

Senior Product Manager

Heymondo is a rapidly growing travel insurance company known for its dynamic and collaborative work environment. We are currently seeking a passionate Senior Product Manager, with a background in the InsurTech, or Insurance business with excellent interpersonal skills to help drive the development of products that support our mission: making life easier for travelers.

We need an empathetic, persuasive communicator to bridge business leadership and technical teams while challenging the status quo. Connecting strategy and execution, you will analyze opportunities, partner cross-functionally, and shape product strategy alongside the Digital Product team.

Your core objective will be to identify key problems, articulate and prioritize high-value solutions, formulate strategic direction, and elevate our product roadmap while orchestrating every phase of the end-to-end product lifecycle.

To create truly impactful products, we are assembling a dedicated group of Product Managers. Reporting directly to a Product Lead who knows the role inside and out, you will collaborate closely with team members across Engineering, Design, and Business Areas to drive meaningful results. You will work in a fast-paced scale-up environment, where agility, adaptability, and results orientation are key.

Responsible for identifying business requirements, user needs and pains, and features enhancements and opportunities. Defining product specifications, ensuring an excellent user experience, and fostering impactful developments while supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Key activities / responsibilities to perform

  • Roadmap & prioritization: Propose, maintain, and defend the product roadmap aligned with business goals and key objectives.
  • PRDs and Functional Definition: Write clear, structured, and value-oriented Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
  • Stakeholder management: Collaborate closely with Business, Design and technical areas to understand needs, manage expectations, and translate requirements into viable solutions.
  • Business Vision: Speak the language of business and understand the market, explaining the economic and operational impact of product decisions. Understand Business and Product ecosystem, discover needs, define and prioritize the squad/product roadmap, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
  • Backlog management: Create, detail, and prioritize Epics/Features and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria. Translate business needs into clear definitions and user stories/acceptance criteria, collaborating with Engineering and stakeholders on execution.
  • Drive data-informed decision-making by tracking product performance, setting up dashboards, and conducting regular reviews.
  • Relationship with technology: Work daily with the engineering team (refinements, plannings, dailies, retrospectives), ensuring a continuous flow of deliveries.
  • Acceptance and quality: Validate that delivered functionalities meet the functional requirements and defined quality standards before going into production.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of launched products: Analysis of launched product performance, generation of performance reports, and proposals for iteration, improvement, and evolution that continuously feed the roadmap.Communicate complex insights and recommendations clearly through structured reports and stakeholder presentations
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Requirements:

  • Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, Product Management, Marketing, Engineering or any other related field. An equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also acceptable.
  • Previous experience: At least 8 years performing PM, PO, or hybrid roles in the Banking, Fintech, or Insurtech
  • Deep knowledge of Insurance Business is a must
  • Scale-up environment: Previous experience in fast-growing, agile companies, accustomed to ambiguity, execution speed, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Direct real experience working together with Tech teams (internal and external)

Skills & Key Competencies:

  • Negotiation skills: Ability to lead difficult conversations, question technical solutions, and guide change-averse teams toward new ways of working or functional architecture.
  • Clear and effective communication: Ability to adapt the discourse according to the audience: synthesize technical information for senior management and translate commercial strategy for the development team.
  • Resilience and pace: Action-oriented mindset, comfortable in demanding and fast-paced environments.
  • Influence leadership: Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority, based on trust, data, and vision.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with product designers.
  • Highly motivated, creative thinker, capable of taking ownershipand initiative
  • Organised, proactive and detail oriented
  • Data-Driven Decision Making with a stronganalytical and problem-solving approach.
  • Agile Methodologies: Mastery of Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks and management tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro, etc.)
  • Comfortable working and building with AI tools such as Claude, Lovable, Figma Make, or Antigravity
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle.

Is a Plus

  • Direct experience in integration and optimization of payment gateways, or insurance core systems.
  • Experience opening new markets
  • Knowledge of product analytics (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics) and basic SQL.
  • Experience working hand-in-hand with UX/UI teams using the Product Discovery methodology.
  • Experience with BI and Data visualization tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Looker, Power BI)
  • Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience implementing a Product Strategy
  • Highly motivated, creative thinker, organised, proactive, builder.
  • Proficient both in web and app product

Schedule: Full Time

  • Flexible hours (7.5 hours a day)
  • 100% Remote (we have a very nice office right next to Torre Agbar in Barcelona in case you want to work from there too)
