Job summary

LocalStack, the Local Cloud Sandbox for Developers and AI Agents, is expanding its product analytics capabilities. This role shapes how data informs pricing, packaging and growth, connecting telemetry across Emulator, CLI, VS Code extension, web app and docs.

You will own analytics foundations, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and drive insights that influence decisions. This is a fully remote role with a competitive £70K - £90K salary range for Europe/UK markets and yearly bonus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data analytics with a focus on product analytics.
• Experience modelling a unified data system.
• Strong SQL and Python experience.
• Experience with web/product analytics tools: Posthog, GA4, Segment, RudderStack, Heap, Amplitude, Contentsquare.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) for rapid analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build and evangelise product analytics foundations, delivering actionable insight for GTM, Finance, Marketing, Product and Engineering teams.
• Create a 360-degree view of users across Emulator, CLI, VS Code extension, console, docs site, website, including human, CI and AI entities.
• Translate complex datasets into clear insights with strategic recommendations that drive measurable actions.
• Understand data flows at LocalStack and work with teams to enrich analytics delivery.
• Develop insights that prove ROI for customers in collaboration with customers and front-line teams.

About the role

Data is highly valued at LocalStack, and this role is an opportunity to shape our product analytics strategy as we scale. You’ll connect fragmented data and user identities across the Emulator, CLI, VS Code extension, web app and docs, using rich product telemetry to understand how behaviour drives conversion, expansion and churn. You’ll help define what we build versus buy, establish better product analytics foundations, and turn usage data into insights that inform pricing, packaging and growth decisions. You’ll work closely with highly technical teams and have significant ownership in shaping how product analytics, data tooling and AI-assisted ways of working evolve at LocalStack.

We Expect you to accomplish in this role:

• Build and evangelise product analytics foundations, delivering actionable insight for GTM, Finance, Marketing, Product and Engineering teams on how the product is being bought and used (across PLG and SLG channels)
• Connect the user journey across the Emulator, CLI, VS Code extension, console, docs site, website, offering a 360 degree customer view view into customer behaviour (for all types: human, CI, AI agent) and composites (e.g. human + AI)
• Translate complex datasets into clear insights with strategic recommendations that drive measurable actions and outcomes that impact the product success
• Understand how data currently flows at LocalStack and work with technical teams to develop enrichment to deliver the product analytics vision
• Develop insights that prove out the value proposition / ROI for customers in collaboration with customers and customer facing teams

Specialist Skills/ Experience

• 7+ years in data analytics role with a strong focus on product analytics
• Experience modelling a unified system, showcasing architecture level thinking
• Strong experience with complex SQL and ideally programming languages such as Python.
• Experience with web and product analytics tools such as Posthog, GA4, Segment, RudderStack, Heap, Amplitude, Contentsquare, or equivalent
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to quickly prototype and iterate across analysis, data modeling, instrumentation, visualization and code development.
