Cloudera is seeking a Sr. Staff Platform Operations Engineer to design and run the internal Linux-based platform across on‑premise and cloud. You will own deployment, reliability, and automated management of core IT services, combining Linux expertise with infrastructure-as-code and security-first thinking.

You will architect, deploy, and support hybrid infrastructure, implement automation pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to secure, scalable platform solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or 8+ years enterprise experience.
• Expert Linux administration across Red Hat, Rocky, Ubuntu.
• Strong Python and shell scripting for automation.
• IaC and version control experience (Terraform/Ansible; Git).
• Hybrid infra experience: on-prem + AWS/Azure/GCP; Kubernetes.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, deploy, and provide senior-level operational support for on-premise and cloud-based Linux infrastructure and core IT services, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Develop, maintain, and champion Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks.
• Implement and automate system security best practices, ensuring compliance and resilience.
• Build and automate deployment pipelines for IT infrastructure services.
• Serve as a technical SME, collaborating with IT Systems, CloudOps, Security, and Engineering teams.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation with documented runbooks.
• Create and maintain documentation for automation, audits, and compliance.
• Design, implement, and administer enterprise storage platforms (Dell PowerStore, Pure Storage).
• Mentor junior team members.
