Datavant in Barcelona is seeking a Platform Engineer to contribute across the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and operations. You will collaborate with product and science teams to scale the platform.

The role emphasizes automating infrastructure, building scalable components, and mentoring engineers in a collaborative environment. Hybrid work with two days in Gracia office, plus professional development and health benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience with containerized distributed systems using Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• 8+ years of production‑level Python or Go coding experience.
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.

Responsabilidades

• Further automate our infrastructure and tooling.
• Develop and document highly performant and scalable component and software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
• Provide expertise on devising technical solutions, and make informed judgment calls on when and how to invest in tactical vs. strategic solutions.
• Implement automated tests to validate changes to the infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration files, and generally to increase overall coverage.
• Provide insights and suggest technology advancements for the CI/CD harness and automated delivery systems scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Mentor, guide, and develop less senior engineers.
• Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance, as well as faster onboarding of new hires.
• Collaborate closely with our product, design, and science teams to understand the needs of our clients
