Sanoma Learning is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Platform Enablement Team in Madrid with a remote-first setup and occasional office visits. You will drive unified DevOps practices, build shared platform components, and guide engineering teams toward scalable, secure cloud solutions across AWS and Kubernetes.

You will contribute to CI/CD, GitOps, Terraform/CloudFormation IaC, and tooling in Python/Bash, while mentoring peers and enforcing security standards to support reliable,

• Experience with AWS and cloud-native platforms.
• Strong Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in ArgoCD, Helm, and GitOps.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.
• Kafka and distributed messaging familiarity.
• IaC with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• CI/CD pipelines development and maintenance.
• SDLC and DevOps practices knowledge.
• DataDog monitoring and observability.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with development teams to understand needs and promote platform standards.
• Harmonize DevOps practices, tooling, and workflows across teams.
• Build and maintain shared platform components (Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps).
• Support deployments on AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, and related tech.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Develop automation/tools using Python and Bash to streamline workflows.
• Promote security best practices and compliance alignment.
• Mentor engineers on DevOps concepts and SDLC practices.
• Monitor and optimize shared services like Kafka and DataDog.
