Green Eagle Solutions is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to design and operate a self‑service DevOps platform. You will own the platform roadmap, implement golden paths for service creation, CI/CD, observability and IaC, and lead cross‑team discussions to improve reliability and efficiency.

We value ownership, proactive problem solving, and a track record of reducing deployment friction while maintaining security and compliance. Hybrid work supporting Madrid or Seville offices is offered.

Formación

• Senior level experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Infra Engineering with strong programming (Python/Go).
• Design CI/CD systems at scale, with GitHub Actions and Kubernetes understanding.
• Expertise in Terraform and GitOps workflows.
• Proven ability to reduce developer friction and improve production readiness.
• Experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows with rigour.
• Ability to influence architecture and delivery decisions across teams.

The challenge:

Green Eagle builds mission‑critical energy optimisation systems. Our platform processes real‑time telemetry from renewable assets and integrates with control centres and grid operators through industrial protocols. When it degrades, energy production is affected directly. Reliability and delivery speed are not preferences here; they are constraints we design for.

You do not need to be an expert in all of it from day one, but you should be comfortable across infrastructure, delivery systems, developer tooling and production environments.

What You`ll Be Doing:

• Internal Developer Platform. Design and build the platform that lets teams create, deploy and operate services with minimal friction. Define and implement golden paths for service creation, CI/CD, observability and infrastructure provisioning. Standardise GitHub workflows, reusable actions, and deployment pipelines.
• Self‑service infrastructure. Build self‑service infrastructure modules on Terraform and GitOps principles. Create epic environments and local development tooling that cut onboarding time and testing friction.
• Reliability, performance, security, and cost by default. Embed observability, security and compliance into the platform, so teams inherit them rather than implement them. Work with product teams to identify and remove infrastructure and platform bottlenecks that impact product performance, scalability, and reliability. Align standards around SLOs, monitoring and capacity planning, and work with Finance to improve infrastructure cost visibility and efficiency.
• AI‑assisted engineering enablement. Turn AI practices into reusable platform capabilities: integrate AI tooling into golden paths and developer workflows and build the guardrails and validation mechanisms that let teams gain speed without losing quality.
• Platform as a product. Own the platform roadmap. Drive adoption of platform capabilities and measure usage, satisfaction, and impact. Improve DORA metrics through systemic platform changes, and contribute to the evolution of modular, scalable systems.
• Technical influence. Lead technical discussions on delivery and infrastructure across teams, review designs, and raise the level of the engineers who build on the platform. Influence through the quality of the paved roads you provide, not through gates.

What You need to Succeed:

• Solid experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering at senior level, with strong programming skills (Python, Go or similar).
• Strong experience designing CI/CD systems at scale, ideally GitHub Actions, and a deep understanding of Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and GitOps workflows
• A track record of reducing developer friction, with a solid grasp of observability patterns and production readiness.
• Experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows with rigour: clear specs, validated outputs and the same quality bar as manual work.
• Ability to influence architecture and delivery decisions across teams, with strong communication and ownership mindset.
