Job summary

Holtec International is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer in Madrid to lead piping system design from P&IDs to installation, coordinating across system engineering, design development, stress analysis, and procurement. You will guide material selection, vendor interactions, and interface management with construction teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in piping for power, naval, or industrial projects, with strong ASME codes knowledge and a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes and specs.
• Experience coordinating piping systems from design to installation.
• Experience with vendor evaluation and management.
• Familiarity with pipe stress and support design.
• Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of piping layouts and routing with operability and constructability in mind.
• Develop and coordinate piping material class code specifications and material selection.
• Ensure design pressures, temperatures, line lists, and insulation and testing requirements are consistent.
• Refine piping design requirements and review isometrics and BOMs.
• Coordinate with pipe stress, supports, valves, and equipment engineers.
• Support procurement with purchase specs, technical bids, and vendor documents.
• Assist construction from planning through turnover and field changes.
• Lead interdisciplinary piping design reviews and resolve technical interfaces.
