EPAM Systems in Madrid, Spain, is seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our hybrid team. You will design, implement and execute performance tests and synthetic monitoring to ensure scalability and reliability for business-critical applications, collaborating with development teams to identify bottlenecks and drive measurable improvements.

This role blends hands-on testing with strategic advisory duties, shaping testing strategies and strengthening observability through CI/CD

Formación

• Several years of hands-on performance testing or performance engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Playwright (Java, TypeScript) and k6 (JavaScript).
• Experience integrating tests with GitLab, Jenkins or Bitbucket.
• Strong understanding of performance engineering, APIs, cloud-native apps and networking.
• Ability to communicate technical results to business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
• Fluent English (B2+).
• Nice-to-have Azure/Kubernetes in banking environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and execute performance and load tests for enterprise applications.
• Implement and maintain synthetic monitoring solutions to assess availability and UX.
• Analyze results and provide optimization recommendations.
• Review performance code in Java/TypeScript for standards compliance.
• Define performance testing strategies and best practices.
