Afori is building the AI layer for insurance brokers, with a hands-on, production-focused role in Barcelona. You will own backend systems and build AI agents that automate broker back-office tasks, collaborating closely with the founders and the AI/ML teams.

You will work in a hybrid setup, four days in the Barcelona office and one day from home, shaping the future of insurance through practical, scalable engineering and data-driven decision-making.

Formación

• 5+ years building backend systems in NodeJS and Typescript.
• Strong cloud-native architecture experience and Docker.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) is a plus.
• Experience with AI/ML pipelines and LLM-driven workflows is a strong plus.
• Ability to work hands-on next to founders to ship code.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for AI agent orchestration.
• Own creation of AI agents that offload broker back-office work.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to deploy models to production.
• Optimize APIs, security, and performance across services.
• Tackle data integration, workflow automation, and reliability challenges.
• Provide candid design reviews and uphold high engineering standards.
• Partner with business teams to ensure solutions solve broker challenges.
