Job summary

Mitek Systems is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Scientist to build machine learning solutions that enhance fraud detection across digital identity products. You will explore large-scale data, engineer features, and develop reliable models with measurable business impact.

Collaborating with Product and Fraud Domain Experts, you will translate challenges into scalable production capabilities, leveraging cloud ML infra and strong ML fundamentals. Remote-friendly roles are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and supervised ML
• Hands-on feature engineering with complex data
• Proficient in Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Experience with cloud-based ML platforms

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and evaluate ML models for fraud detection
• Analyze large-scale datasets to find patterns and signals
• Define robust experimentation and evaluation methodologies
• Develop interpretable ML approaches for stakeholders
• Collaborate with Product, Fraud Domain Experts and Data Engineering to productionize models
• Contribute to model monitoring, governance, and documentation
