Job summary

Aristocrat is seeking a Senior ML Engineer in Barcelona to design, build, and deploy ML/AI solutions for mobile gaming experiences. You will work closely with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and product partners to deliver scalable, robust models and data-driven features.

The role emphasizes Python-based development, model evaluation, and integrating ML outputs into production systems, with a hybrid work model in Barcelona.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python programming with testing and version control.
• Hands-on ML model development using scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience building LLM-based apps, including RAG and tool-calling workflows.
• Experience evaluating models, identifying failure modes and ensuring robust outputs.
• Background in recommender systems, RL, time-series or causal modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build, train, evaluate, and optimize ML models for prediction, recommendation, personalization, and decision support.
• Develop LLM-powered applications and RAG systems for internal tools and business processes.
• Translate ML requirements into reliable software components, APIs, and services.
• Work with Data Scientists, MLOps, Data Engineers, and product partners to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Mentor engineers, participate in architecture discussions, and improve coding standards.
