Miravia, part of Alibaba Group, is seeking a Senior Manager, Product & Content Compliance in Madrid to safeguard listings and UGC from illegal content while enabling business growth. You will lead policies, oversee reviews, and collaborate with Legal, Product, and Engineering to implement risk-based controls.

The role requires 4+ years in compliance, deep knowledge of EU e-commerce regulations (GPSR, DSA), and strong leadership. Office-based, competitive, and impact-driven team environment.

  • Create, update, and enforce policies and SOPs for listings and UGC.

  • Oversee teams for reviews, appeals, and reports; drive timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Product, and Engineering to implement new requirements.
  • Advise leadership on risks and mitigation; drive process improvements.

Your role:

We seek a strategic Senior Manager, Product & Content Compliance to safeguard our platform against illegal products and harmful UGC while balancing business growth with evolving legal mandates.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Compliance Strategy & Execution

Lead the development and implementation of strategies to detect, review, and action prohibited/illegal product listings using smart automation and manual oversight.

Create, update, and enforce Seller Policies and SOPs to align with local and EU regulations (e.g., consumer safety, restricted items) and platform standards.

Design and optimize smart detection rules to flag high-risk products, ensuring scalability and accuracy.

Manage an operations team responsible for manual reviews of product listings, appeals, and seller reports.

Define permissible product categories, set requirements (e.g., certifications, documentation), and enforce restrictions.

Collaborate with Legal, Product, and Engineering teams to integrate new compliance requirements.

User-Generated Content (UGC) Compliance

Develop and execute strategies to monitor and moderate prohibited UGC (reviews, images, videos) in compliance with laws and platform guidelines.

Establish content policies and moderation workflows, balancing user expression with safety.

Build smart detection systems to identify harmful content (e.g., hate speech, fraud) and reduce false positives.

Oversee a team handling UGC reviews, user reports, and appeals, ensuring timely resolution.

Partner with Product and Data teams to implement UGC compliance tools.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Advise senior leadership on compliance risks, trends, and mitigation strategies.

Drive process improvements through data analysis, automation, and stakeholder feedback.

Manage compliance-related projects end-to-end, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years in compliance, trust & safety, or risk management (e-commerce or tech preferred).
  • Deep understanding of EU e-commerce regulations (e.g., GPSR, DSA, etc).
  • Operational Excellence: Proven ability to build policies, manage teams, and optimize workflows.
  • Fluent in English (written/spoken); Spanish proficiency is a strong plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate complex compliance challenges with a business-centric approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Technology, or related field.

Please note this role requires to work 100% from the office. Our offices are very centric tough: Metro Station Avenida de América (Madrid).
