Job summary

Solera seeks a technically skilled DevOps/Systems Administrator to join our Global IT Organization in Sevilla. You will deploy, configure and maintain Linux servers in a data center, ensuring health, uptime, security, and disaster recovery for customer-facing and internal apps.

You will automate deployments, create standard OS templates, patch systems and participate in server design, planning and rollouts across a multi-data center environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting Linux servers in production.
• Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a multi-platform, multi-data center IT environment.
• Experience automating tasks using shell scripting or Python/Perl.
• Proven experience supporting web-based applications on Apache Tomcat.
• Experience creating and maintaining good documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain Linux servers in a Data Center environment.
• Accountable for server health, uptime, monitoring and disaster recovery.
• Routinely patch and secure OS in line with security policies.
• Create and maintain standardized OS templates and automate VM provisioning.
• Assist project teams with design, strategy, planning and server rollouts.
• Perform daily ops: change requests, tickets, monitoring and triage.
• Produce and maintain server documentation.
• Adopt DevOps practices to drive automation of routine tasks.
