Senior Legal Counsel

Job summary

EQS Group in Barcelona is seeking an experienced in-house counsel to advise on legal issues, negotiate software license and service agreements with partners, suppliers and customers worldwide, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

You will help develop standard contracts and terms, handle contract translations, support sales in structuring transactions, and thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced international environment with strong English and French communication skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in law.
• Experience in software license and service agreements, ideally in an international environment.
• Experience in the legal department of a technology company.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support management on all legal-related issues.
• Provide extensive legal counsel; negotiate and review software license and service agreements from partners, suppliers, and our customers worldwide.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including further development of EQS Group’s internal compliance structure.
• Participation in the development of standard contracts and general terms and conditions.
• Contract review and updating in the respective national language; manage contract translations.
• Support sales in structuring transactions and accelerating the sales contracting process.

• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including but not limited to the further development of EQS Group’s internal compliance structure
• Participation in the further development of standard contracts and general terms and conditions
• Various project work, e.g., review and consistent updating of contract forms in the respective national language, as well as the follow-up of contract translations
• Supporting sales in structuring transactions and accelerating the sales contracting process
