Job summary

EQS Group is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to advise management on legal matters, review and negotiate software licenses and service agreements, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will support a global customer base and collaborate with sales and product teams in a fast-paced, international setting.

The ideal candidate has a law degree, experience in tech/ software licensing, and fluency in English and French. A hybrid work model in Barcelona and EU flexibility are offered.

Qualifications

• University degree in law.
• Proven experience in practicing independently or in a tech company's legal department.
• Focus on software license and service agreements.
• Experience in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support management on all legal-related issues.
• Provide extensive legal counsel and negotiate/review software licenses and service agreements worldwide.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and develop internal compliance structures.

YOUR IMPACT

• Advise and support management on all legal-related issues.
• Provide extensivelegalcounsel;negotiate and reviewsoftwarelicense and serviceagreements from partners, suppliers, and our customers worldwide.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including but not limited to the further development of EQS Group’s internal compliance structure.
• Participation in the further development of standardcontracts and generalterms and conditions.
• Various project work, e.g., review and consistent updating of contract forms in the respective national language, as well as the follow-up of contract translations.
• Supporting sales in structuring transactions and accelerating the sales contracting process.

THIS IS YOU

• University degree in law.
• Proven experience practicing independently or in the legal department of a technology company, ideally with a focus on softwarelicense andservice agreementsand an international environment.
• Proficient communication skills in English andFrench (C1). Another European language is a plus.
• Understanding of economiccontexts.
• Enjoys a highly collaborative environment and interdisciplinary work.
• High service orientation as well as an independent and result-oriented way of working.
• Negotiating skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to efficientlyhandlechangingtasks under time pressure and to set the required priorities.
