UST, a North America-based multinational, is seeking a Senior Developer (Java & Kafka) to join an exciting international project within a highly collaborative Agile environment.

A passionate and experienced software engineer with strong expertise in Java microservices architectures and Apache Kafka, eager to contribute to high-impact projects while working with modern technologies and best development practices.

Formación

• 4+ years in a similar role.
• 4+ years with Apache Kafka.
• Experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• English level B2 or higher.
• Willingness to participate in a rotational 24/7 on-call schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications.
• Develop and optimize event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Apply software design principles to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Implement and maintain applications with Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Participate in code reviews, testing strategies, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical designs.
• Be part of the on-call rotation schedule approximately every 3–4 months.

What we look for?

We are currently looking for a Senior Developer (Java & Kafka) to join an exciting international project within a highly collaborative Agile environment. A passionate and experienced software engineer with strong expertise in Java microservices architectures and Apache Kafka, eager to contribute to high-impact projects while working with modern technologies and best development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications.
• Develop and optimize event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Apply software design principles and best practices to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Implement and maintain applications using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Participate in code reviews, testing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and technical designs.
• Participate in the team's rotational 24/7 on-call support schedule (approximately one week every 3-4 months).

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience working with Apache Kafka.
• Strong experience with: Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices architecture, Functional Programming, JPA, Software Design, Testing methodologies (TDD and/or BDD)
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as: PostgreSQL
• Oracle
• MongoDB
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
• English level B2 or higher.
• Availability to participate in a rotational 24/7 on-call support schedule.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Reactive Programming.
• Experience with API design and specification standards (OAS3/OpenAPI).
• Additional technical skills or experience that can bring value to the project.
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments.
