UST is seeking a Senior Developer specializing in Java & Kafka to join an international Agile project. You will develop microservices, implement event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong Java 8+, Spring Boot experience, knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB), and familiarity with TDD/BDD in an agile Scrum environment. English level B2+ is required.

Senior Developer (Java & Kafka)

We are currently looking for a Senior Developer (Java & Kafka) to join an exciting international project within a highly collaborative Agile environment. A passionate and experienced software engineer with strong expertise in Java microservices architectures and Apache Kafka, eager to contribute to high-impact projects while working with modern technologies and best development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Apply software design principles and best practices to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Implement and maintain applications using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Participate in code reviews, testing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions and technical designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience working with Apache Kafka.
• Java 8+.
• Spring Boot, Spring Framework.
• Software Design.
• Testing methodologies (TDD and/or BDD).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
