Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to lead secure, scalable microservices for the TSM platform in a hybrid setup at El Prat de Llobregat. You will drive backend design with Spring Boot 4, cryptography, and automated testing while collaborating across product and QA teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive senior backend Java development experience.
• Strong expertise with Spring Boot 4, Spring Cloud and Spring Data.
• Experience building microservices in cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency with MongoDB, Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development and implementation of TSM backend services and microservices.
• Design, develop and optimize Java backend apps using Spring technologies.
• Build, deploy and operate cloud-native applications with Docker and CI/CD.
• Implement secure cryptographic operations including PKI and key management.
• Design data models with MongoDB for scalable storage.
• Drive automated testing (TDD/BDD) and security testing (SAST/DAST).
• Apply agile/Scrum practices and secure coding standards.
• Collaborate with architects, PO, QA and other developers; mentor teammates.
• Contribute to observability and monitoring with Spring Boot Actuator.
