Job summary

UST España & Latam is seeking a Java Developer to join a microservice-based cloud environment in the utility technology sector. You will design, develop, and support secure, scalable Java services, APIs, and integrations that connect critical business systems.

Hands-on with Java, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, REST, and OpenAPI. You will contribute to tests, CI/CD, and secure coding practices while collaborating across teams in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing enterprise Java applications.
• Hands-on with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate/JPA and SQL optimization.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs; OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging.
• Strong testing with JUnit, Mockito, and contract testing frameworks.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews.
• Understanding of secure coding, authentication, authorization, observability, logging, and monitoring.
• Fluent English and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Java services, REST APIs, integration components using Java and Spring.
• Translate requirements into clean, scalable code.
• Develop RESTful APIs with validation, versioning, security, and error handling.
• Implement event-driven and asynchronous integrations with resiliency patterns.
• Build persistence layers using Hibernate/JPA and SQL best practices.
• Integrate microservices with CRM, finance, payment, analytics, web and mobile platforms.
• Create and maintain unit, integration, component, and contract tests.
• Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and secure development practices.
• Troubleshoot production incidents using logs, metrics, traces, and DB analysis.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated quality controls, and cloud-native deployment.
• Contribute to technical documentation and service supportability improvements.
