Allianz Technology in Madrid seeks a senior full-stack developer with strong Java/Spring and Angular expertise to design and implement scalable microservices. You will build production-ready features, participate in architecture decisions and own end-to-end implementation while collaborating in cross-functional agile teams.

The role emphasizes code quality, automated testing, and production readiness, with cross-team collaboration and exposure to AWS cloud in a large global IT organization.

About the Job

Are you a senior full-stack developer who combines deep Java/Spring expertise with solid Angular frontend skills? In this role, you will design and implement scalable microservices, build production-ready features and contribute to architectural decisions — all within a cross-functional agile team. If you bring a high sense for quality, a production mindset, and the ability to think end-to-end across the stack, we would love to meet you!

The Patch Management Process Owner is accountable for the end-to-end governance and execution of the patch The team UW.Excellence is an international software development team working in an agile Mode, using elements both of Scrum and KANBAN. We have the end-to-end responsibility for a web-based application running on an AWS cloud at Allianz Germany.

Our tasks are further developing the application as well as maintenance, user support and managing our technical infrastructure and deployments. We are currently working in two cross-functional Sub-Teams, fully stuffed with BAs and developers who can refine and implement any backlog item. Each team has its focus on particular features and workflows of the app. Nevertheless, we highlight cross team collaboration.

What you do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and expand modern, maintainable Angular frontends connected to backend services.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, refactoring, and pull requests.
• Participate in workshops to clarify business requirements with users and stakeholders early and translate them into technical requirements.
• Support the PO and Business Analysts in translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Own E2E implementation of features including architectural design and alignment with the team.
• Take responsibility for production concerns such as performance, stability, security, monitoring and bug fixing. Build and maintain interfaces to other systems within the Allianz network.

What you bring

• Multiple years of experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Data/JPA and microservice architecture.
• Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS with a sense for clean UI structure and UX.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) — TDD experience is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and pull request workflows.
• Ability to explain and justify technical decisions, balancing architecture, usability, and delivery speed.
• Comfortable working independently with shared code ownership in a cross-functional team.
• Machine learning knowledge is a strong advantage.
