Statkraft is building a new Madrid-based 24/7 intraday trading setup to balance renewable generation, dispatch assets, and trade across Iberian markets. You will monitor, optimise and execute trades while supervising automated trading systems to deliver reliable, compliant operations.

Formación

• At least 5 years of experience in short-term power trading, intraday trading, dispatch operations, balancing, control room operations or energy management.
• Practical experience in a live operational environment where decisions are made under time pressure.
• Strong understanding of intraday market dynamics, forecast changes, imbalance exposure and renewable intermittency.
• Experience with renewable generation, flexible assets, batteries or comparable asset portfolios.

Responsabilidades

• Establish robust shift routines, decision standards, handover practices and incident follow-up processes for the new Madrid setup.
• Act as a senior operational contributor during ramp-up and support knowledge transfer to future team members.
• Monitor and optimise renewable generation, battery storage and flexible asset portfolios in real time.
• Execute trades and operational actions across Iberian short-term power markets.
• Supervise and calibrate automated trading and optimisation algorithms.
• Identify and capture value opportunities from forecast changes and market movements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, asset operators and transmission system operators.
• Ensure safe, reliable and compliant execution of trading and dispatch activities during shifts.
• Contribute to incident handling and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with quantitative analysts, developers and traders to improve models and tools.
