Job summary

ING España&Portugal is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor (Business & IT) based in Madrid to contribute to the Corporate Audit Services function. You will audit business processes, assess IT dependencies and controls, and provide independent assurance across ING Spain and Portugal.

You will work in a dynamic, international team, collaborating on cross-border audits while strengthening governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, engineering, information systems or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in external audit, preferably Big Four, or internal audit in financial services.
• Hands-on experience auditing business processes with IT dependencies and controls.
• Strong governance, risk management and internal control understanding; able to translate complex matters into audit conclusions.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Spanish required for local engagement.
• Professional certification (CIA, CISA, CISM, CRMA or equivalent) is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Audit business processes and related IT controls across ING Spain and Portugal.
• Provide independent assurance to strengthen governance, risk management and control framework.
• Collaborate with international audit teams on cross-border and global audits.
• Engage with stakeholders; challenge senior management with evidence-based insights.
