Job summary

N26 Inc. is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to execute a risk-based program and contribute to the annual audit plan within the Spanish regulatory landscape.

You will conduct internal audits across the group, prepare detailed reports, and ensure timely remediation of findings while maintaining independence. Ideal candidates have strong audit experience in regulated financial settings, familiarity with banking laws, and the ability to manage junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience as internal auditor in a regulated financial environment (banking or audit firm).
• Knowledge of banking laws and local Spanish banking requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support and conduct internal audit activities within the N26 group, including external contractors and Spain-specific regulations.
• Lead or support full audit cycles including risk management and control over operations' effectiveness, reliability and compliance.
• Ensure execution of annual and multi-year audit plan focusing on N26’s Spanish Branch.
• Prepare internal audit reports with attention to scope and accuracy.
• Develop risk-based annual audit plan for functions including product, customer operations, sales, marketing, and partnerships.
• Supervise and review audit work of junior team members.
• Monitor remediation of findings within agreed timeframes.
• Participate in key projects while maintaining independence and adhering to policies.
• Perform work in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
