IFF Benicarló, S.L. in Benicarló, Spain, seeks a senior engineer to own Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) performance, compliance and lifecycle management on site.

You will design, validate, test and verify SIS in alignment with IEC 61511, define and maintain safety interlocks, and support capital projects with safety-focused execution. Join a safety‑first team collaborating with operations, maintenance, EHS and projects to drive reliability, risk reduction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with a focus on safety and automation.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial environments with SIS exposure.
• Experience with safety lifecycle management and EHS interfaces.

Responsabilités

• Act as site focal point for SIS performance, compliance and lifecycle.
• Lead design, validation, testing, and verification of SIS per IEC 61511.
• Define, configure and maintain safety interlocks and automation systems.
• Support troubleshooting, RCA and reliability improvements for I&C.
• Participate in HAZOP/LOPA, SIL assessments and risk analyses.
• Ensure modifications follow MOC processes and KPI monitoring.
