Job summary

AVL Iberica is seeking a Maintenance & Instrumentation Engineer to lead maintenance planning, coordination, and optimization for equipment and facilities in Barcelona. The role focuses on ensuring system availability, reliability, and efficiency, while coordinating internal and external resources and driving improvements.

You will supervise documentation, manage maintenance contracts, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an international, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years in industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or complex environments.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities and managing priorities.
• English proficiency at least B2; CMMS and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities and calibrations.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks based on equipment criticality and resources.
• Coordinate interventions by internal teams, suppliers, and external contractors.
• Ensure proper calibration and operation of instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive technical improvements to increase availability and efficiency.
• Supervise maintenance documentation and records.
• Manage relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
