Job summary

Peak2Peak Search in Madrid seeks a Lead High Voltage Electrical Engineer to own MV/HV grid connection engineering across utility-scale renewable energy projects. Lead technical studies, ensure compliance with grid codes, and coordinate with operators and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong grid engineering knowledge, fluency in English, and experience with DIgSILENT/ETAP and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Several years in MV/HV engineering or grid connections.
Understanding of grid codes and operator requirements.
Experience delivering grid connection for renewable assets is advantageous.
Proficient with electrical simulation software and AutoCAD.
Strong problem solving and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead MV/HV electrical and grid connection engineering for utility-scale projects.
Manage electrical studies ensuring designs meet grid codes and standards.
Coordinate with transmission/distribution operators on interconnection needs.
Provide expertise across MV/HV design, protection studies, cable sizing.
Support grid connection infrastructure from design to commissioning.
Review supplier proposals and contribute to equipment evaluation.
Collaborate with development, engineering, procurement and construction teams.
Help improve internal grid connection processes and guidelines.
