Job summary

RES is seeking an experienced Group Consolidation Accountant to run the Group consolidation process with high autonomy. You will prepare consolidated accounts from start to finish and serve as the technical reference for consolidation within the finance team, based in Albacete or Madrid, Spain.

The role requires strong IFRS knowledge, consolidation software experience (OneStream/SAP BFC), and fluent Spanish with professional English.

Qualifications

Experience in consolidation within a multinational group or audit firm.
Ability to run a full consolidation close independently from data collection to FS.
Knowledge of IFRS and consolidation software.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Group consolidation from entity reporting to final figures.
Issue closing instructions, timetables and review packages for quality and consistency.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations; resolve differences with local teams.
Record consolidation entries: eliminations, currency translation, scope changes.
Prepare consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) and notes under IFRS.
Analyze results and variances; prepare commentary for Head of Accounting Southern Europe.
Integrate new entities into consolidation scope; maintain chart of accounts and mappings.
Prepare consolidation audit files and respond to external auditors.
Follow IFRS changes and assess impact on consolidated accounts.
