Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced Global Study Lead (GSL) to provide strategic and operational leadership for complex global clinical studies. This senior role has end-to-end accountability from initiation to close-out, defining operational strategy and leading cross-functional teams to ensure timelines, quality, budget and regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Extensive experience delivering global clinical studies.
• End-to-end accountability for complex trials.
• Leading global cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
• Ownership of study timelines, budgets, risks and quality.
• Experience overseeing CROs/third-party vendors and performance management.
• In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP and global regulations.
• Strong project and financial management capabilities.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions.
• Proactive risk identification and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational strategy and end-to-end delivery of one or more global clinical studies.
• Own study timelines, budget, quality, risks and key operational deliverables.
• Provide strategic leadership to global cross-functional study teams and drive timely decision-making.
• Represent Clinical Operations within the Study Leadership Team; escalation point for operational issues.
• Translate development and asset strategy into study-level operational plans.
• Oversee CROs and external vendors with performance management and escalation when needed.
• Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, regulations, SOPs and inspection-readiness.
• Lead study financial planning, forecasting and budget management.
• Communicate progress and decisions to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Champion innovative trial delivery approaches, including decentralised trials.
