Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Streams UI team, shaping and enhancing the user interface for Fleet and Streams. You will work on central management for Elastic Agent in Kibana and collaborate with designers and product managers to translate mockups into robust UI components.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, strong architecture decisions, and collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• Solid production experience with full-stack JavaScript, preferably TypeScript; React on the front end and Node.js on the back end.
• Track record of leading non-trivial projects end-to-end with design ownership.
• Proficient architecture and system-design judgment for large codebases.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate features.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive UI components using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Own complex problems end-to-end; shape approach and deliver.
• Lead architecture discussions, considering trade-offs, performance, and scale.
• Establish coding standards and promote reusable components; enable automated testing and deployment.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and identify security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate asynchronously across timezones with a distributed team.
• Partner with designers and product managers to translate mockups into UI components.
