Longtail Technologies, Inc. is seeking a seasoned backend/full-stack engineer to help evolve Sightline, our conversational analytics and intelligent alerting product. You will own features end to end, from understanding customer problems to deployment and production support.

You will design backend services and APIs, ensure robust, observable systems, and collaborate on frontend tasks when needed. The role emphasizes reliability, security, and scalable architectures in a dynamic, AI-enabled

Formación

• 7+ years of backend/full-stack engineering experience, including operating production systems.
• Experience building production SaaS products and owning features end to end.
• Strong API, database, and SQL skills.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and failure modes.
• Commitment to reliability, observability, security, and maintainability.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build backend services, APIs, and customer-facing capabilities across Sightline's product and platform.
• Own features end to end, from customer problem through to production.
• Build reliable, asynchronous workflows with orchestration, error handling, recovery, and observability baked in.
• Integrate with data, analytics, and AI model platforms.
• Design resilient systems that handle failures gracefully.
• Contribute to the React frontend when a feature calls for it.
• Improve testing, observability, security, and performance across the platform.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions as the product evolves, and help shape engineering standards and architecture.
