Qualifications

• 7 years in FP&A, controlling, or related finance function in international orgs.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and management reporting experience.
• Understanding of financial statements and cash flow relationships.
• Fluent English; MBA/CFA/ACCA/CIMA asset are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, monthly/quarterly forecasting and long-range planning.
• Translate performance into actionable insights; run variance analysis and risk/opportunity reviews.
• Partner with commercial, operational, and group finance teams to drive initiatives.
• Develop robust models, dashboards, KPIs and reporting for decision-making.
• Ensure alignment between local German reporting requirements and group expectations.
• Drive FP&A process improvements, data quality, and automation.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a (Senior) FP&A Manager based in Spain.

We are looking for an experienced (Senior) FP&A Manager to act as a strategic finance business partner and drive financial performance across an international organization. In this role, you will lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning while transforming complex financial data into actionable business insights. You will work closely with senior leadership, commercial teams, operational stakeholders, and finance professionals to influence strategic decisions and improve business performance. Your expertise will help strengthen financial reporting, enhance planning processes, and ensure alignment between local and group-level objectives. Accountabilities

In this role, you will take ownership of financial planning and performance management, providing strategic insights and supporting business-wide decision-making. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead annual budgeting, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes across the business.

• Translate financial and operational performance into actionable insights through variance analysis, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommendations for senior leadership.

• Partner with commercial, operational, functional, local finance, and group finance teams to support strategic initiatives and improve business performance.

• Develop and maintain robust financial models, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packages to support decision-making and investment cases.

• Ensure alignment between local German reporting requirements and group-level expectations within a U.S. publicly listed company environment.

• Drive continuous improvements across FP&A processes, planning tools, data quality, reporting automation, and performance management routines.

• Collaborate with external auditors, system implementation partners, and corporate reporting teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across financial processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders in an international business environment. The following qualifications and skills are expected:

• Approximately 7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, controlling, corporate finance, or a related finance function, preferably within an international or matrixed organization.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, management reporting, variance analysis, and business performance management.
• Good understanding of the relationships between the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statement.
• Advanced Excel skills and practical experience with ERP, financial planning, and reporting tools such as Oracle NetSuite, Oracle Fusion, Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, Hyperion, OneStream, or similar platforms.
• Strong commercial mindset, analytical capabilities, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence strategic decisions.
• Fluent English is required.
• Experience preparing board materials, earnings support schedules, management review packs, or group reporting deliverables is a plus.
• Exposure to finance transformation, planning system implementation, BI dashboards, or reporting automation projects is an advantage.
• An MBA, CFA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification is considered a strong asset.
• Previous experience in a high-growth, complex, multinational, or publicly listed company environment is beneficial.
