dsm-firmenich is seeking a Senior Expert D&T - Workforce Management & Planning in Barcelona to guide and scale workforce planning across Digital & Tech, ensuring capacity aligns with portfolio priorities and delivery needs.

You will lead the adoption of planning tools, develop governance, and provide data-driven insights to improve resource utilization and financial performance while partnering with senior stakeholders across Platforms, Projects, and Organisational structures.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field.
• 8–10 years in Workforce Planning, Resource Management, Portfolio Management, PMO, or Strategic Planning in large IT/Digital environments.
• Expertise in capacity planning, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
• Experience with workforce planning tools and enterprise reporting platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into insights and decisions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Own and evolve D&T workforce planning frameworks, methodologies, and standards.
• Coordinate capacity reviews, demand consolidation, workforce forecasting, and executive reporting.
• Enable D&T teams to apply workforce planning practices through guidance, training, coaching, and use of planning tools.
• Translate portfolio demand into workforce implications and scenarios.
• Guide prioritization and highlight cross-platform capacity and capability risks.
• Enable workforce governance forums and ensure transparency of workforce allocation.
• Provide consolidated, decision-ready insights on capacity, utilization, and gaps.
• Drive KPIs, data models and continuous improvement of workforce data management & quality.
• Ensure alignment between workforce plans, budgets, and investment planning.
• Act as SME to elevate resource management and workforce planning maturity across D&T.

Job Title: Senior Expert D&T - Workforce Management & Planning

Location: Barcelona, Spain

The Workforce Management & Planning Expert enables Digital & Tech to anticipate workforce needs, align capacity with strategic portfolio priorities, and make data-driven decisions that improve resource utilization, delivery confidence, and financial performance.

The role shapes and enables a workforce planning approach across D&T by defining frameworks, governance, and insights that support fact-based workforce decisions across Platforms/Products & Projects (Execution model) & Clusters/Chapters (Organizational Structure). Acting as the operational bridge between strategy, portfolio, and delivery, the role ensures that workforce planning capabilities, processes, and tools are consistently applied and provides hands‑on expertise to scale our resource management tool (Planview) and supporting activities.

Your key responsibilities

• Own and evolve D&T workforce planning frameworks, methodologies, and standards.
• Supports the D&T workforce planning cycle, coordinating capacity reviews, demand consolidation, workforce forecasting, and executive reporting
• Enable D&T teams to adopt and consistently apply workforce planning practices through guidance, training, coaching, and effective use of planning tools
• Support translation of portfolio demand into workforce implications and scenarios
• Guide prioritization and highlight cross-platform capacity and capability risks

What you bring

• Expertise in capacity planning, forecasting, and scenario modelling
• Experience with workforce planning tools and enterprise reporting platforms
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into insights and decisions
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
