Expedia Group in Madrid is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering to lead a team of 6-10 engineers delivering scalable B2B technology solutions for partners worldwide.

You will define team goals aligned with business outcomes, partner with product management on the roadmap, and ensure excellence in design, testing, and operations while mentoring engineers and growing talent.

Formación

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience managing engineers.
• Proficiency across JVM languages and ability to justify technology choices to varied audiences.
• Experience managing distributed or geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven ability to deliver solutions to complex business problems spanning multiple teams.
• Strong communication skills across senior-level, cross-functional groups.
• Experience in B2B technology environments like API platforms or partner integrations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop a team of 6-10 engineers.
• Define team goals and align them to business outcomes across multiple teams.
• Partner with product management to influence the product roadmap and balance features with maintenance.
• Anticipate and resolve bottlenecks in cross-team workflows and measure success.
• Advocate for software design, operational excellence, and resiliency (tests, SLA, scalability).
• Research and recommend frameworks, cloud services, and architectural patterns per standards.
• Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate talent, identify gaps, and implement development plans for the team.
• Develop capacity plans and resource strategies for teams of 10+.
