AECOM Madrid is seeking a Senior Engineer with bridges and structures design experience to join Enterprise Capabilities, Europe (Madrid). You will work with a multinational team, lead design activities across offices, and mentor junior staff to deliver complex bridge projects.

The role requires a Master in Civil Engineering, at least 5 years in international teams, and proficiency with major engineering software. Fluency in English is essential for collaboration across regions.

Formación

• Master degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
• Proven track record of working on bridges and/or structures designs with some experience working with international and multi-cultural teams (+5 years)
• Experience with international standards (e.g. AASHTO; AREMA, Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.)
• Proficiency in engineering software for bridge and structures (preferable Midas Civil, but others as CSiBridge, SAP2000, etc. are well considered)
• Experience working in the North America / ANZ region will be considered favorably
• Ability to solve complex issues with limited direction on the bridges and/or structures field
• Fluent in English (oral and written)

Responsabilidades

• Works as part of a bridges and structures team with other designers at the same functional level that can be from different EC offices (Poland, Spain, India...). Undertakes non-routine, medium complex projects supported by EC
• Coordinates and leads small design teams focused on structural design for a specific project
• Works autonomously within established procedures with latitude to determine work priorities
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings, including participation in interdisciplinary reviews
• Ensures that project technical goals/milestones/ budgets are met
• Prepares complex project deliverables using a team of junior technical and support staff, providing supervision to and mentoring less experienced staff.

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Engineer with experience in bridges and/or structures design, to join our busy and expanding team in Enterprise Capabilities, Europe (Madrid).

Our Bridges and Structures team has a strong track record delivering structural bridge engineering designs in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Latin America and the Middle East. You will be involved in all phases of project development, from conceptual and feasibility studies to preliminary designs and detailed design engineering, covering a wide variety of bridge and structural projects. You will be part of large multidisciplinary teams serving both public and private clients, including major large-scale Design and Build projects.
