Job summary

Fichtner in Madrid or Barcelona seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead electrical design and project teams for power stations and industrial plants. You will guide technical decisions, coordinate suppliers, and ensure compliance across international projects.

You will work closely with partners across Europe, travel up to 25%, and contribute from early feasibility through commissioning. A degree in electrical engineering and several years in energy projects are required.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering (electrical) with power engineering focus.
Several years of experience in planning and constructing energy plants.
Experience in system planning and electrical component design.
Experience drafting specs, tenders and cost estimates.
Initial experience managing large-scale international projects.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.
Valid work permit for Spain.

Responsibilities

Provide professional client advice on electrical engineering for power stations and industrial plants, including grid connection up to the grid connection point.
Lead project teams as sub-project manager for electrical engineering in large-scale power station projects.
Support project delivery with cost, quality, deadlines, compliance, health and safety, and information security.
Prepare feasibility studies, tenders, technical specifications and bid evaluations.
Review and approve supplier documents and documentation.
Collaborate with external and internal project partners in Europe and worldwide.
Monitor construction and commissioning of electrical power stations or industrial plants.
