Fichtner is seeking an experienced electrical engineer for its Madrid or Barcelona offices to support power plant projects, grid connections and international assignments.

You will lead sub-project teams, ensure delivery within budget, time, and quality, and collaborate with partners across Europe and worldwide. A degree in electrical engineering and several years of experience are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering with power engineering focus.
• Several years of relevant experience in planning and constructing energy plants and thermal power stations.
• Experience in system planning and design of electrical components.
• Experience drafting specifications, tenders and cost estimates.
• Initial experience managing large-scale international projects.

• Provide expert client advice on electrical engineering for power stations and plants, including grid connections.
• Lead sub-project teams for electrical engineering on large power plant projects.
• Support project delivery per cost, quality, deadlines, compliance, health and safety standards.
• Prepare feasibility studies, tenders, technical specifications and bid evaluations.
• Review supplier documents and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with external and internal project partners across Europe and worldwide.
• Monitor construction and commissioning of electrical power stations or industrial plants.

Your tasks

• Providing professional client advice on electrical engineering for power stations and industrial plants, including grid connection up to the grid connection point
• Leading project teams as a sub-project manager for electrical engineering within the framework of large-scale power station projects
• Supporting project delivery in accordance with internally defined requirements regarding costs, quality, deadlines, compliance, health and safety, environmental protection and information security
• Preparing feasibility studies, tenders, technical specifications and bid evaluations
• Reviewing and approving supplier documents and documentation
• Collaborating with external and internal project partners in Europe and worldwide
• Monitoring the construction and commissioning of electrical power stations or industrial plants

Your profile

• Degree in engineering (university/university of applied sciences/bachelor’s) in electrical engineering, specialising in electrical power engineering
• Several years’ relevant professional experience in the planning and construction of energy plants and thermal power stations
• Several years’ experience in the field of system planning and the design of electrical components
• Experience in drawing up specifications, tenders and cost estimates
• Initial experience in the management of large-scale international projects
• A strong communicator and flexible, intercultural team player
• Very good command of English; knowledge of German would be an advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally as required by the project (up to 25%
• Valid work permit for Spain
