Elsevier’s Lancet Primary Care team is seeking an in-house Senior Editor (Maternity cover) to oversee the creation and publication of original material for our online journal. You will manage submissions, coordinate peer review, and play a key role in commissioning high-quality content.

Based in London, Barcelona, India or China, you will build relationships with researchers and clinicians worldwide, represent the journal at conferences, and contribute editorials while supporting Diversity and

Formación

• MD or PhD with postdoctoral experience or a postgraduate degree with senior editorial experience on a peer reviewed STM journal.
• Strong knowledge of biological and medical sciences and social issues in Primary care.
• Ability to engage with external stakeholders including medical and research professionals and media.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent command of English and engaging writing.
• Proficiency with IT systems including MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Managing peer review of high-quality research papers and commissioning authors.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with the global primary care community.
• Attending conferences and events to represent the journal and identify topics.
• Writing editorials and other content for the journal as required.
• Helping develop new initiatives for future development of the journal.
