The Lancet Primary Care is seeking an in-house Senior Editor to oversee submissions and manage peer review for our gold open access journal. You will build global relationships with experts to disseminate high-quality content and discuss practice-changing results.

Location options include London, Barcelona, India, or China, with hybrid working and flexible hours. An MD/PhD and substantial editorial experience in a peer-reviewed STM journal are essential.

Formación

• Excellent command of the English language and the ability to write in an engaging and interesting manner.
• Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of biological and medical sciences and broader social issues pertaining to Primary care.
• Ability to engage and build relationships with external stakeholders, including medical and research professionals, a range of internal teams, and members of the media.

Responsabilidades

• Managing peer review of high-quality research papers, and commissioning authors to ensure the successful production of new and engaging articles
• Developing and maintaining relationships with our global primary care community to attract high-quality research for the journal
• Attending conferences and events to represent the journal, keeping up to date with current developments in primary care and identifying potential topics of interest
• Writing editorials and other content for the journal as required.
• Helping develop new initiatives for future development of the journal
