Job summary

Aramco seeks an experienced Corrosion Engineer to join the Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) organization within the Downstream Reliability Solutions Department. The role focuses on providing technical support for corrosion management, deploying new technologies, and driving value-added programs across Saudi Aramco’s downstream assets.

You will conduct technical studies in corrosion control fields, including cathodic protection, water treatment, chemical inhibition and materials selection,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering is required.
• 15 years of experience in corrosion management, metallurgical sciences, and welding in downstream oil&gas.
• Knowledge of international codes: NACE, ASME, API, ASTM; emphasis on API-571/580/570/510.
• NACE Specialist certification or API-571/NACE CP II preferred.
• Fluency in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Conduct corrosion management assessments and studies with recommendations.
• Develop and manage GME value-driven corrosion programs roadmap.
• Deploy corrosion management technologies across Global Manufacturing portfolio.
• Support corrosion-related failure investigations and publish lessons learned from RCAs.
• Provide consultancy to facilities on corrosion management across design, construction, operations and maintenance.
• Review operating parameters to modify philosophies and procedures for corrosion control.
• Optimize inspection programs and maintain asset integrity.
• Review design packages and validate materials per codes/standards.
• Support RBI studies based on API-580 methodology.
• Investigate coating failures and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Support HAZOP studies from corrosion perspective.
