Datadog is seeking an experienced backend engineer to help build and scale governance and cost-control tools across its largest products. You will work in a hybrid environment in Madrid, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance systems and AI-assisted coding practices.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in backend development with Go/Java/Rust/C++, strong distributed systems experience, and excellent English communication.

Formación

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Significant backend programming experience in Go, Java, Rust or C++.
• Distributed systems engineer with experience building high performance large scale systems.
• Excellent communication skills (English).
• High proactivity and cross-team collaboration experience.

Responsabilidades

• Build performant high scale distributed systems to handle the load of Datadog's biggest products.
• Build relationships across teams and independently seek out information needed to move work forward.
• Become productive in unfamiliar systems and navigate ambiguity.
• Anticipate technical dependencies and integration challenges early.
