indie Semiconductor in Córdoba, Spain, is seeking an experienced FPGA engineer to design, implement, and verify RTL blocks for automotive ADAS SoCs. You will drive pre-silicon activities, FPGA prototyping, IP integration, and system-level partitioning alongside firmware and hardware teams.

The ideal candidate has a 3+ years FPGA experience, strong Verilog skills, knowledge of AMBA buses, and familiarity with Linux development and lab measurement tools.

Formación

• MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years FPGA experience.
• Proven experience designing and simulating digital blocks using Verilog.
• Solid understanding of FPGA design flows with synthesis, place-and-route, and STA.
• Experience with AMBA buses (APB/AHB/AXI) and common protocols.
• Experience with C and Python programming languages; Tcl is a plus.
• Experience with Git/SVN and CI tooling; Linux-based development experience.
• Hands-on with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and debuggers.
• Strong communication in English and Spanish; able to collaborate with international teams.

Job Overview

In this role, you will join a talented engineering team responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of advanced SoCs targeting automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). You will play a key role in pre‑silicon platform engineering, driving activities such as rapid FPGA prototyping, digital IP integration and benchmarking, and hardware/software partitioning.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document RTL for digital IP blocks based on agreed specifications.
• Support RTL and gate‑level verification, including debugging, bug tracking, and coverage closure.
• Contribute to design reviews and functional safety activities.
• Integrate pre‑existing IPs into high‑scale FPGA platforms, including the development of SoC‑friendly glue logic and clocking schemes.
• Deliver FPGA prototyping platforms to enable pre‑silicon firmware development.
• Collaborate with firmware and system teams on hardware/software partitioning and system‑level integration.
• Perform benchmarking of FPGA‑based data path IPs against custom silicon implementations.
• Support silicon validation and bring‑up.

• MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of FPGA experience.
• Proven experience designing and simulating digital blocks using Verilog.
• Solid understanding of FPGA design flows and board platforms, including synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis (STA). Experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado and UltraScale+ devices is a plus.
• Experience with AMBA buses (APB, AHB, AXI) and communication protocols (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet) is a plus.
• Experience with C and Python programming languages. Experience with Tcl is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN. Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
• Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with local and remote international teams.
• Hands‑on experience working in Linux‑based development environments is highly valued.
