Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Design Reliability & Safety Engineer to join our Data Center team. You will lead Design for Reliability and Robustness (DfSR) initiatives across multiple product squads, embedding safety and reliability into design practices.

You will assess critical design elements, develop risk assessment plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robustness in modular data center solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or quality roles with focus on DfSS/DF SR and modular data centers.
• Proficiency in ReliaSoft tools and experience in Agile product development.
• Strong customer orientation and application knowledge.
• Excellent intercultural communication and collaboration skills.

As part of the Data Center Systems Line of Business, the MODULAR DATA CENTER organization designs and integrates full solutions in the field of power conversion, energy storage, cooling, electrical distribution, and control software into modular enclosures.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Design Reliability & Safety Engineer to join our Data Center team of quality and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in reliability engineering, passionate about embedding safety, robustness, and reliability into product design across multiple squads and business units.

Key Responsibilities

As a DfSR Practitioner, you will:

• Lead the deployment of Design for Reliability and Robustness (DfSR) processes, tools, and software across multiple product squads.
• Champion the integration of safety and reliability principles into design practices, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Assess critical design elements and develop risk assessment plans focused on safety, robustness, and reliability.

What will help you to be successful?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering. Advanced degrees in Reliability Engineering are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or quality roles, with a strong focus on Design for Reliability (DfSS, DfSR), data center systems especially modular data centers
• Proficiency in ReliaSoft tools and experience in Agile product development environments.
• Strong customer orientation and application knowledge.
• Excellent intercultural communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred certifications:

• DfSS Certifications (CSSGB or CSSBB) (Desirable)
• Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) (Desirable)
• Experience with Design FMEA development is highly desirable.
