Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to leverage ML and data engineering within the Pharmaceutical Sciences & Translational Safety (PSTS) organization. You will create AI-ready datasets, develop predictive models, and deliver analytical solutions to enhance safety evaluations and translational research.

You will work with toxicology, PK/PD, and in vivo teams to translate study designs into computational requirements, applying mechanism-based toxicology concepts and ensuring

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Data Science, Computational Biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related field.
• 2+ years applying ML and/or data engineering to scientific or biomedical datasets.
• Proficiency with Python and/or R, SQL, and modern data engineering tooling.
• Experience with ML model development, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with biological, toxicology, PK/PD, or in vivo datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy ML/AI models to support safety signal detection and PK/PD modelling.
• Transform data and build scalable pipelines from toxicology and biomarker sources.
• Collaborate with toxicology, DMPK, and safety stakeholders to define computational needs.
• Ensure model governance, validation, and cross-study comparability.
