Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Senior Scientist, AI Safety to join our Data, Data Science & AI organization in Madrid or Barcelona. The role supports a three-day-per-week in-office hybrid model and focuses on governance of agentic AI, with a strong emphasis on safety across R&D workflows and regulatory considerations.

You will define controllable, provable safeguards and build safety-native AI architectures, working with cross-functional teams to translate requirements

Competenze

• PhD in computer science, AI/ML, applied mathematics, or closely related field.
• Experience with AI safety, alignment, or adversarial evaluation is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mansioni

• Define deterministic, explainable controls for agentic AI across workflows.
• Develop continuous red-teaming and adversarial testing for safety in the GenAI Platform.
• Research and prototype safety-native architectures with pre- and post-training safety methods.
• Establish accountability and evidence-based evaluation of safety claims; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
