Causal Foundry in Barcelona is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with a PhD to join our team. You will deeply analyze partner data, identifying effective solutions, assessing impact, and collaborating with Engineering and Partnerships to drive product delivery.

You will own data science workstreams with partners, translate operational questions into analytical problems, build forecasting and causal models, and communicate insights to technical and public-sector audiences.

Formación

• PhD in a quantitative field.
• Post-PhD data science experience driving real decisions, not just research.
• Fluent Python and SQL with reproducibility and version control.
• Experience with agentic AI workflows and tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor.

Responsabilidades

• Own Rwanda data science workstream and support stakeholders.
• Translate operational questions into analytical, causal or predictive problems.
• Turn ambiguous product, health and operational questions into clear analytical problems.
• Build and validate models for forecasting, risk stratification, personalisation and decision support.
• Design experiments and causal analyses to show what worked, for whom and why.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers, and domain experts to move ideas into production.
• Tell a compelling data story to technical and non-technical audiences; mentor others.
• Travel to partner sites to understand needs and communicate analyses.
