Multiverse Computing in Donostia-San Sebastián is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the end-to-end design of data platforms, lakehouse architectures, data catalogs, and governance.

You will build and operate large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines, define models and versioning, collaborate with ML/AI teams, and mentor other engineers while shaping data strategy in a fast-growing, inclusive environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with lakehouse and data catalogs.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and containerization.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end data platform design and delivery across lakehouse, cataloging, and governance.
• Build and operate large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration.
• Define data models, partitioning, schema evolution, and versioning.
• Maintain authoritative data catalogs with schemas, metadata, and lineage.
• Validate datasets against sources for completeness and performance.
• Collaborate with ML/AI engineers to deliver data products for analytics and APIs.
• Engage with clients and cross-functional teams to scope requirements.
• Mentor other data engineers and raise engineering standards.
• Stay updated on open table formats and data governance trends.
