Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Data Platform DevOps Engineer to help deploy, automate, and optimize modern data platforms across Azure and Microsoft Fabric. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC, and ensure scalable, secure operations in a remote-friendly Spain context.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps or related fields, strong Azure DevOps and Terraform skills, fluent English (C1), and excellent collaboration with data engineers and architects.

We are looking for a Data Platform DevOps Engineer to support the deployment, automation, and optimization of modern data platforms. You will play a key role in enabling scalable and secure data solutions through Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native DevOps practices across Azure and Microsoft Fabric environments.

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Solid expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and platform management.
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Knowledge of Git-based version control and branching strategies.
• Experience implementing security, governance, and compliance best practices within DevOps environments.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and deployment automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• English level C1 or higher (written and spoken).
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise data platform solutions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform.
• Manage and optimize deployments across Azure and Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and Platform Teams to ensure reliable and scalable platform operations.
• Implement DevOps best practices, including automation, testing, monitoring, and release management.
• Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance standards are integrated into deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support cloud migration and platform modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize platform reliability and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code standards, reusable templates, and automation frameworks.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and DevOps trends within the Azure ecosystem.
