Linde Gas seeks a Senior Data Architect to own the Data Governance and Data Platform framework for Homecare Europe. You will drive a multi-year Data & AI transformation across multiple countries and act as the RSW authority on data architecture, aligning data strategy with regulatory needs.

You will design a lakehouse-based platform, build pipelines in Databricks, and implement secure data handling to deliver governed data products, while mentoring teams and setting engineering standards.

• Own Data Governance and Data Platform framework for Homecare Europe; implement and operate Data Platform.
• Lead multi-country Data & AI transformation roadmap.
• Act as RSW authority for Data & AI architecture and influence global decisions.
• Define target lakehouse architecture and roadmap for data sources and governed data products (Databricks-first).
• Build ingestion and transformation pipelines in Databricks (Python/PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake).
• Implement governance and security with Unity Catalog and manage PII per GDPR.
• Establish data modeling standards and KPI/semantic layers; deliver curated datasets for Power BI and APIs.
• Set engineering standards for CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and runbooks.

In this role you will own data governance and the data platform framework for Homecare Europe, ensuring reliability, compliance and business continuity across countries. You will steer a multi-year Data & AI transformation roadmap, act as the RSW authority on data architecture, and align data strategy with regulatory and clinical needs. You will shape a lakehouse-based data platform, build pipelines in Databricks, and implement governance and secure data handling to deliver governed data products. You’ll lead cross-functional governance and set engineering standards, contributing to the company’s digital transformation.

• Build ingestion and transformation pipelines in Databricks (Python/PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake) with incremental loads/backfills
• Implement governance and security with Unity Catalog and manage PII per GDPR and internal policies
• Establish data modeling standards and KPI/semantic layers; deliver curated datasets for Power BI and APIs
• Set engineering standards for CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and runbooks; transfer knowledge to internal teams
• Contribute to digitalization and automation initiatives to advance the organization’s transformation
• 8+ years in data architecture and data engineering for enterprise platforms
• 3+ years hands-on Databricks/Spark/Delta in production (lakehouse patterns)
• experience establishing governance and access controls (Unity Catalog preferred) and handling sensitive data
• familiarity with HL7 v2 / FHIR is a plus
• experience integrating data from Azure-hosted applications and Microsoft SQL; external providers/IoT data is a plus
