Amenitiz is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect and scale our data infrastructure in Barcelona. You will design scalable ELT pipelines, own core data models in Redshift, and set governance and quality standards to empower data-driven decisions across teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead cross-functional design discussions with product, analytics, and data science, and help shape the long-term data platform strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience in scaling infrastructure.
• Expert-level SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience with modern data platforms and orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of cloud architectures (GCP/AWS/Azure) and data governance.
• Strong leadership and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure data pipelines.
• Architect and optimize ELT workflows in dbt.
• Own the integrity, structure, and performance of core data models in Redshift.
• Implement and drive standards for data governance, observability, and quality.
• Efficiently integrate diverse data sources, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to improve data architecture.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance; contribute to long-term data platform strategy.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and coaching.
