Job summary

adm Indicia is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data & Business Intelligence team in Barcelona. You will own end-to-end data solutions, from design to delivery and ongoing support.

You’ll build robust ETL/ELT pipelines, work with Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS, and mentor junior colleagues while communicating clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. The role requires 5+ years' commercial data experience and strong SQL, Python, and documentation skills in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience delivering data solutions in a commercial environment.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform; Azure and/or GCP experience beneficial.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT using Matillion, AWS services, and Python.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or equivalent.
• Advanced SQL (DML and DDL).
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt.
• Experience producing high-quality technical documentation.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in fast-paced cross-functional environments.
• Strong planning and estimation skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Create clear technical design documentation for multiple teams.
• Own delivery of data solutions and drive project ownership.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
• Estimate, prioritise, and deliver work in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Architecture to evolve the Data Platform.
• Drive adoption of best practices and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentoring to junior colleagues and wider teams.
